Wildcat season ends at Doniphan-Trumbull vs Cardinals.

The St. Paul Wildcats Basketball season came to an end Tuesday Night in Doniphan at the hands of the Doniphan-Trumbull Cardinals 51-37. 

The Cardinals entered the contest searching for their 20th win of the season and got off to a hot start behind a 10-0 run to kick things off. Capitalizing off of the early run, the Red Birds took a 7-point lead into the second quarter leading 12-5. The 2nd frame again saw the Cards jump out on an early run before the Cats could stabilize things in the 2nd however the damage was done as Doniphan-Trumbull doubled up St. Paul through 16 minutes at a score of 28-14.

The 2 teams exchanged a combined 24 points in the 3rd quarter with the advantage to the Cardinals at 14-10. The Cats outscored D-T in the 4th 13-9 but the Cats' fate was sealed as the clock hit 0 ending their season. 

The loss ends the Wildcats' season at 8-15 while Doniphan-Trumbull improves to 20-2 and will host the Subdistrict Championship against the winner of Adams Central/Wood River.

Chris Thomas ends his Wildcat Hoops Career with Runza MVP of the game with 8 points and a slew of rebounds.
