Offender: Hodan Farah
Date and Time of Incident: 4/5/24 @ 17:30
Location of Incident: 423 W 4th St
Brief Narrative: On 04/05/2024 at approximately 1612 hours, Hodan Farah left U Save Pharmacy, 423 4th St W, upset with pharmacy employees. At approximately 1640 hours, Hodan called U Save Pharmacy and advised an employee to tell the tech she was working with, that she's going to choke her until she dies. At approximately 1730 hours, GIEC received a call from suicide hotline stating that Hodan Farah was suicidal and homicidal, heading to 4th St U Save Pharmacy. Hodan advised she was going to kill a pharmacist and advised she would be wearing a mask and carrying a knife. At approximately 1735 hours, Officers arrived at 423 4th St W; U Save Pharmacy to check the welfare of employees and to check if Hodan was already there. Upon arrival Officers made contact with an employee at U Save, the employee advised they received a phone call from Hodan. While Officers were speaking with U Save employee, at approximately 1739 hours. Officers observed a white SUV enter the parking lot and park directly in front of the building in a no parking area. U Save employee advised Officers the female driver was Hodan whom they had recently received the threatening phone call from. Officers observed Hodan exit her vehicle with a kitchen knife in hand and she tried to gain access into U Save Pharmacy. Officers would hold the front doors closed to prevent Hodan from entering the building and gaining access to employees. Five occupants inside U Save and two occupants in Heartland Health Center locked the doors and sought shelter to protect themselves from Hodan. Hodan would not comply with Officers commands to drop the knife. Hodan advised she would be back and got into her car to leave the property. Officers advised Hodan to stop the vehicle and she continued to attempt to leave. Officers would break the driver’s window of Hodan's vehicle and have to physically remove her from the vehicle. After removing Hodan from her vehicle, it rolled forward, hitting the car in front of it. Hodan was then placed into custody. Hodan was arrested for Attempted 1st Degree Murder x2, Attempted 1st Degree Assault x2, Terroristic Threats x5, Use of a Deadly Weapon x1, Obstruction x1 and Resisting Arrest x1.

Offender: Qasim Yusuf

Brief Narrative: Officers contacted Qasim Yusuf in reference to being the suspect of a removal subject call for service. Qasim would knowingly provide false personal identifying information to law enforcement. Qasim real name was discovered and he had an active Hall County Warrant. Qasim was placed under arrest. A search of his person resulted in locating a crystalline substance that provided a presumptive positive result for methamphetamine. Qasim was arrested for a Hall County Warrant, Criminal Impersonation and Possession of Controlled Substance (Meth).

Location of Incident: 604 White Ave
Brief Narrative: GIPD Officers responded to 604 N White St for a medical call for service. Officers contacted David Doty who stated his roommate, Curt Bickford threw a boiling pot of water at him, resulting in burn injuries to his left arm, causing him significant pain. David acknowledged he retaliated by punching Curt in the face, resulting in Curt's injuries. Curt Bickford cited for Assault Second Degree and David Doty cited for Assault-Bodily Injury/Mutual Consent.

Brief Narrative: On 04/05/2024 at approximately 1851 hours, officers responded to 1622 W 1st., Grand Island, NE for a custodial interference. Officers reviewed the court order, which stated the mother of the juvenile was supposed to have custody of her son at 6 pm. The father, Craig Vollmer, advised he did not want to release the child to the mother and would rather be referred. Due to the court order stating that the child was supposed to go with the mother, Craig is being referred for Violating the Custody Order.

Location of Incident: 1009 W Anna St
Brief Narrative: Victim came to the police station to report on Tuesday she was contacted on her phone by an unsolicited person. This person was able to deceive the victim into allowing them access to their electronic device and access the victim’s credit cards. The suspect then convinced the victim to go a bit coin ATM located in this city and send the suspect money using the ATM.

Brief Narrative: A threat was found written in pencil on the wall of a girl’s bathroom at Grand Island Senior High School. At this time, it is unknown when the statement was written, and due to the heavy use of that restroom, there is no suspect information at this time.

Offender: Rosa Cruz-Fuentes

Location of Incident: 246 N Darr Ave
Brief Narrative: On 4-6-2024 at around 10:49 am law enforcement responded to the listed above location reference a possible assault. The victim in the matter advised that her adult daughter pushed her down from behind, causing her (victim) to fall to the ground and break her arm. The victim advised that she did not want to press charges in the matter and did not want police to contact her daughter in the matter. On 4-7-2024 follow up reference this incident was done due to needing to speak with suspect in this matter. The suspect Rosa Cruz-Fuentes was contacted and refused to speak with officers on the matter. Due to the injury sustained to the victim by Rosa, Rosa was arrested for 1st Degree Assault.

Location of Incident: 1010 E Bismark
Brief Narrative: On 4-6-2024 at or around 1500 hrs, an Officer responded to 1010 E Bismark in reference to a attempted burglary call for service. It was reported on 4-4--2024 two individuals damaged a doorway in an effort to gain access into the building. The damaged
was estimated at $1,000. Case is under investigation.

Location of Incident: 122 E 10th St
Brief Narrative: On 04/07/24, officers responded to a runaway juvenile at 122 E 10th street. Contact was made with the mother who reported her juvenile daughter had left the house without permission. Officers located the female a few blocks away. The juvenile attempted to run again, when an officer stood in front of her. The juvenile kicked an officer in the leg causing pain then proceeded to fall to the ground and pull away from officers while placing her under arrest. The juvenile female proceeded to kick the officer a second time causing pain. She was placed under arrest Assault on an Officer 3rd Degree 2 counts and Resisting Arrest.

Location of Incident: 645 S Locust; Ste 2
Brief Narrative: On 4-7-2024 at or around 0811 hrs, an Officer responded to 645 S. Locust Street (Express Pawn) in reference to burglary call for service. It was determined an individual was able to pry open a metal door and gain access into the building. At the time of this report, it is unknown if any item of value is missing.
