GI Police Dept Receives Grant

The Grand Island Police Department was awarded $9,281.24 to carry out our “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” mobilization campaign from December 15th, 2023 through January 1st, 2024.  Officers will be working selective overtime enforcement this holiday season and will target drivers who are both alcohol and drug impaired.  This enforcement will help to reduce fatal and serious alcohol and impaired driving related crashes.  GI Police asks the public to celebrate the holiday season safely and responsibly.
